  • Outdoor Decking

  • Merbau

For the covered veranda and integrated sunken lounges, we use FSC-certified Merbau hardwood decking as our standard option. This timber is BAL-29 rated, making it suitable for use in bushfire-prone areas and offering excellent durability for outdoor conditions.

Please note: if the local council requires a bal rating for the outdoor decking, this will also necessitate the use of a light metal subframe to comply with fire safety regulations.

    Eco alternative: Fused Bamboo Deck

We offer fused bamboo decking. Bamboo decking surpasses traditional hardwood in strength and sustainability. With a rapid growth and harvest cycle of 5-7 years, this material stands at the forefront of eco-conscious construction. Our bamboo boards are enhanced through advanced processing techniques to elevate their strength and durability, exceeding that of traditional hardwood. These boards are designed with anti-termite properties and carry a BAL-29 rating, indicating their resistance to bushfire threats. Additionally, they serve as an excellent alternative to modwood composite, offering a more natural look.
