Jovonne's Healing Center (Kids)

A quiet car ride home. A question that doesn't quite come out right. Loss shows up differently in every child, and every child deserves space built for exactly what they're carrying.

Jovonne's Healing Center for Kids is a free, in-person program for children carrying loss: death, divorce, incarceration, addiction, gun violence, a future that changed overnight. Kids meet with Kia Medley-Stephens, LPC, for an hour built around play, storytelling, and movement, real tools for feeling and expressing what's hard, while still just getting to be kids. Throughout the year we also plan off-site outings, because sometimes what a kid needs most is simply a good day.

Jovonne's Healing Center for Kids meets the second Wednesday of each month during the school year, from 5:00 to 6:00 pm, immediately following Healing Connections, at ACCESS: Chester Community Center, 701 Booth St., Chester, PA 19013.
