SHANNON DAWN BRYAN
April 11, 1974 – August 25, 2023
Shannon was born with the ultimate ‘Gift of Gab’—a defining feature of her vibrant, loving, and magnetic personality. She had that certain something that drew people in, allowing her to connect with others easily and genuinely. She loved hearing people’s stories just as much as she loved sharing her own.
With a strong sense of spirituality and an open heart, Shannon danced to the beat of her own drum—finding magic, beauty, and Creator in places others might overlook. She welcomed everyone she met with kindness, free of judgment or prejudice.
Shannon came from a long line of strong Indigenous women who faced life’s challenges with courage and determination. As one of five sisters, it’s only fitting that her legacy supports other Indigenous women finding their own path.
The Shannon Bryan Scholarship is for Indigenous women over the age of 21 who are seeking to continue their journey through education or training. Whether or not you have high school transcripts doesn’t matter—what matters is your desire to grow, to learn, and to build the life you envision.
