🌱 Peoples Freedom Farm Volunteering

📍 Peoples Freedom Farm - Whitakers, NC | ⏰ Fridays: 10am- 4pm | On Event days time will vary! (See Calendar for details). Our team will provide: water, light snacks and necessary planting and resting provisions. Come Be a Part of Building Something Beautiful ! ⚠️This is a Working Farm: Age Requirements Volunteers under 18 must be accompanied by a guardian.
Volunteer Days

Farm Fridays: Starting January 30, 2026, we will be on the Farm every Friday throughout the year (monthly tasks will be announced at the start of each month).

Tasks include planting, harvesting, watering, and other farm-related tasks. Or interests in learning about Seed2Shirt.

Special Event Days:

Sat, March 21, 2 pm: Vibe N Dye

* A community event where we will naturally dye S2S shirts and connect with our work

Sat, Jun 20, 2 pm: Canvas Making

* The community will get to learn how to make Canvas from scratch

Sat, August 2nd, 8 am: Black Farm Tour on Farm Event (more info will be provided by July 1)

● A day event to help with set-up/clean-up and ushering bikers on land.

  By signing below, I acknowledge that I have voluntarily agreed to participate in the Farm Volunteer & Planting Participation Day organized by Seed2Shirt, I understand that participation may include physical activities, handling tools, exposure to outdoor elements, and interaction with plants and/or animals.
  
  1. Acknowledgment of Risk
  
  I understand and acknowledge that farming and agricultural work involves inherent risks, including but not limited to:
  
  Slips, trips, and falls
  Injuries from tools or equipment
  Allergic reactions to plants or insects
  Exposure to sun, heat, or other weather conditions
  I voluntarily assume all such risks and take full responsibility for any personal injury, illness, damage, or loss that may occur as a result of my participation.
  
  2. Waiver and Release of Liability
  
  In consideration for being allowed to participate, I hereby release, waive, and discharge [Farm/Organization Name], its owners, employees, volunteers, agents, and affiliates from any and all liability, claims, demands, or causes of action arising out of or related to any loss, damage, or injury, including death, that may be sustained by me or to any property belonging to me, whether caused by negligence or otherwise.

  I authorize Seed2Shirt Peoples Freedom Farm to seek emergency medical treatment on my behalf if necessary. I agree to be financially responsible for any medical treatment provided.
