Cancellation Policy

If Provider has available doctors, Provider will reply to Client’s request. Shifts are confirmed via email or text. The Order is made when Client replies to confirm “Agreed”.

If an Order is canceled by Client less than thirty (30) days before the start date of the Shift, Client will be responsible for paying 100% of the Shift rate.

If an Order is canceled by Client less than sixty (60) days before the start date of the Shift, Client will be responsible for paying 50% of the Shift rate.

If an Order is canceled by Client less than ninety (90) days before the start date of the Shift, Client will be responsible for paying 25% of the Shift rate.

Overtime rates are billed in 15-minute increments. The overtime hourly rate is calculated per Shift by taking the Shift rate divided by total Shift hours (including lunch). Client will be notified, prior to a Temporary Employee accepting or being assigned a Shift, if due to professional liability concerns, a Temporary Employee doctor declines to supervise RVT or mid-level practitioner comprehensive exams or procedures during their Shift. Client will not be charged if Temporary Employee declines or cancels due to an RVT or mid-level practitioner supported shift.

We are the only nonprofit staffing company supporting independent practice ownership. Your monthly membership donation secures your partnership with our company. When advertising for relief doctors please add the following phrase to attract more doctors for your shifts.

“Our hospital partners staffing services through the nonprofit Uplift.Vet, enabling doctors to have student loan forgiveness in 10 years. This opportunity also includes personalized tax strategies and plans to substantially lower payments. Refinancing loans or aggressive payoff is a waste of your money. Working with our practice will help you achieve incredible personal and financial goals.”

Uplift.Vet operates as a boutique, highly personalized service, which means we intentionally limit the number of practices we partner with. To ensure we can accommodate your hospital, we encourage practice managers to respond promptly. Even if you don’t need relief coverage at the moment, resident doctors can leave unexpectedly, and partnering early on allows us to support you quickly when urgent needs arise.
