    Due to spatial constraints and their huge footprint, Melges 15 and 49ers will be accomodated on the Carlisle Pier in the first instance, eg until the Boathouse Committee has a better understanding of space requirements from other classes.

    Past a reasonable delay to ascertain the above, we will endeavour (but with no guarantee) to faciliate Melges 15 and 49ers on the Club Platform.

    1. I/We agree that my/our use of Platform, Crane, Forklift towing, Winch, Slipway. Membership facilities and Storage Space shall be at my/our own risk and that no liability whatsoever shall attach to the Club, its servants or agents in respect of any loss or damage arising from my/our own use of same.
    2. I/We agree that I/We bear the responsibility to secure my/our boat on the platform during times of severe weather conditions.
    3. I/We confirm that cradles, trailers, ladders and other equipment will be clearly marked with Boat’s name, and will be in good mechanical working order, repair and condition.
    4. I/We accept that unsuitable boats, cradles, trailers and equipment may not be accepted; Boathouse Captain and Platform Manager’s decision is final.
    5. I/We confirm that I/we hold adequate insurance against loss, damage or injury to persons and/or property.
    6. I/We confirm that the vessel is my/our property and accept that whilst availing of the Club facilities, I/we shall be responsible for the management and control of the vessel and the conduct of its crew.
    7. I/We have read and understand the “Platform Guidelines” (available on www.nyc.ie).
    8. I/We understand that a current platform sticker must be affixed to my boat &/or trailer before entry to the platform.
    9. I/We agree that I/we will remove the boat from the platform prior to a date to be advised to facilitate the lift-out of keelboats.
    10. I/We accept that if the boat is still on the platform after the such date I/we will be invoiced with a €100 fine, and should I/we fail to remove the boat seven days prior to the date set for lift out the Club may take possession of the boat and dispose of it.
    11. Additional space may be required for special events. I/we agree to remove the boat if requested in such circumstances.
    12. I/We agree that I/we will fully de-rig the boat after each use and stow it in a neat and orderly fashion 13. I/We understand that the boat may be stored on a rack if not used regularly (Toppers, Lasers & Optimists)

    Declaration

    1. I/We hereby indemnify the Club, its members and its staff against any claim arising from the lifting, storing, moving, launching or parking of the above boat or its equipment.
    2. I/We accept that the above conditions and indemnity apply to any and every lift, movement, launching, storing and parking of the above boat during the period set out above.
    3. My/our signature(s) below indicate that I/we have read and understood the conditions above and agree to be bound by them.
