Greetings Work Weekenders!
Spring us upon us, and that means there is important work to be done at Deerfoot ADK! As many of you know, Work Weekenders are the first wave of workers that initiate the Deerfoot mission each summer and open up the facility. Thank you for your willingness to be a part of that important team. With your help, we expect to be able to take on many familiar tasks and new projects across camp.
A few general reminders…
- Married couple housing is limited at DL. In some cases, couples may need to stay with other couples or in separate cabins. We do not have housing for families.
- Remember to bring your own WARM bedding, towels, flashlight, etc.
- Remember that spring in the mountains can still be cold. Bring warm clothing and bedding. Please check the weather for Speculator, NY in the days leading up to the work weekend.
- Pets are not allowed
- Work weekend is for adults. If you wish to bring someone who is under 18, please clear this with Chief Craig (Chiefcraig@deerfoot.org) ahead of time.
- Meals begin Friday evening at 7:00 p.m. and will conclude Monday at lunch.
