Audition Information for THE BEST CHRISTMAS PAGEANT EVER

Please fill out the audition form below. Complete the form by scheduling your audition slot.

Beginning with the 2025-2026 season, ALL auditions will move to 30-minute time slots of ten people or less.

Performers are asked to arrive 10 minutes before their time slot.

Auditions are closed, which means only those auditioning may be in the house. Anyone - including all parents, grandparents, siblings, and/or legal guardians - who is not signed up for the audition in that particular time slot is to remain in the lobby until the audition process is finished.

Auditions are appointment only; you must schedule your appointment below to finalize this audition form and secure your spot. 

Show Dates:  Decemeber 5 - 14, 2025 with a possible school show date during school hours.

Mandatory Dates: Nov. 29 & 30 (Q2Q), Dec. 1-4 (Tech Week), Dec. 5 -14 (Show Dates/Pick Up). Availability throughout the rehearsal process may affect casting.

Location: 238 S. Clay Street, Gastonia NC, 28052. Parking is adjacent to the building.

Show Rating: G (Family friendly. References of smoking, drinking and some crasser language/movements to highlight the lives of the Herdman children)

This show requires 10+ performers of all ages, race, sex, gender, sexuality, nationality, and experience level. The casting team is looking for a diverse group of performers across the board. 

CONFLICTS for rehearsals of THE BEST CHRISTMAS PAGEANT EVER

Please note that current rehearsal dates are tentative and may change. Not all performers will be called for every single rehearsal and that will be noted in the finalized calendar given out at the first rehearsal. 

Please note that amount of conflicts and/or certain conflict dates may affect casting.

 

Tentative Rehearsal Dates: Mondays - Fridays, October 27 - December 5, 2025, 6:30-8:30pm

BETH BRADLEY: Female presenting. The narrator with a strong voice and presence

Age range: Reads 12-16 (preteen/young teen)

CHARLIE BRADLEY: Male presenting. Typical kid brother.

Age Range: Reads 7-12 (young child/preteen - younger than BETH)

MOTHER: Female presenting. Strong, kind voice and presence.

Age Range: Reads 30s-early 40s

FATHER: Male presenting. Strong, nuclear family man.

Age Range: Reads 30s-early 40s

RALPH HERDMAN: Male presenting. Rough around the edges.

Age Range: Reads 12-16 (preteen/teen)

IMOGEN HERDMAN - Female presenting. Loud, bossy and crafty.

Age Range: Reads 12-16 (preteen/teen)

LEROY HERDMAN - Male presenting. Tough, sure of himself.

Age Range: Reads 12-16 (preteen/teen)

CLAUDE HERDMAN - Male presenting. Scrappy, looking for a fight.

Age Range: Reads 9-13 (young child/preteen)

OLLIE HERDMAN - Male presenting. Claude's partner-in-crime.

Age Range: Reads 9-13 (young child/preteen)

GLADYS HERDMAN - Female presenting. Small, fiesty, utterly adorable.
