We, the undersigned residents of Surrey, respectfully call on the city to support the introduction of licensed cannabis retail stores in Surrey City Centre and South Surrey, BC.
Legal cannabis access plays a vital role in promoting community well-being. Restricting regulated options not only limits consumer choice but also leaves room for the unregulated market to grow — increasing public risk and undermining efforts to promote safety and accountability.
By expanding legal cannabis retail access, Surrey has the opportunity to:
- Prioritize community safety through regulated sales
- Strengthen local businesses and economic growth
- Reduce reliance on the illegal market, and
- Provide residents with safer, vetted cannabis products.
We believe that a forward-thinking approach to cannabis retail will help Surrey thrive balancing public health, economic opportunity, and responsible governance.
We urge the City to support Dutch Love Cannabis and others in establishing legal retail outlets that serve the needs of our growing community.
