Terms and Conditions

Please read the following Terms of Service carefully. By checking the boxes below, you acknowledge that you have read and understand the Terms of Service and agree to be bound by them.
NO EARLY ARRIVALS or parking are permitted on the College grounds before the Auto Fair gates open at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. No customer service or check-ins can be provided before 4:00 pm on Friday. No exceptions can be made per our contract with the Venue. IMPORTANT: To ensure traffic control, the Auto Fair is not permitted to open the gates if any vehicles are circling or stopped in any driveway at 4:00 p.m. Friday. If you do so, you will delay the opening of the Auto Fair. If you arrive a few minutes early, park in actual white lined parking spaces area outside the Auto Fair, not in driveways, and remain in your vehicle until gates are opened.*
6PM SUNDAY OR $300 TOW TRUCK: This event ends at 4:00 P.M. every Sunday. Vehicles should be picked up by 5:00 P.M. Sunday. Deadline: Keys and vehicle must be removed from all Venue grounds by 6:00 P.M. Sunday. PLEASE NOTE: It is NOT sufficient to pick up your keys or move the vehicle to a different parking lot. The vehicle MUST BE OFF ALL CAMPUS GROUNDS BY 6:00 P.M. SUNDAY. All vehicles left after 6:00 P.M. must be towed at the owner's expense (Recovery Fee $300 or more). This policy must be strictly enforced per our Venue contract. Valid government-issued photo ID required for pick-up. Plan ahead for unexpected events: It is better to pick up at noon than at 6:01 P.M.*
PARKING RULES: We have a highly structured and results-driven parking plan. It is very important to look for and follow parking signage for self-guidance upon arrival. Please do not stop in driveways, just keep going and follow signs. Autos: Signage and areas being parked change week-to-week and minute-to-minute. We open our Auto parking in stages, so not all spaces will be open to you for parking. Autos must be backed in and centered between the white lines of only one space that does NOT have an orange cone in it. Please do not move orange cones. Before walking away, please ensure it is inside the white lines of one space. Autos parked incorrectly, over lines, or not backed in will be moved. Vehicles will be moved if instructions are not followed or for security or access purposes. IMPORTANT: Parking staff are there to HELP guide your parking, but you the driver are ultimately responsible for making sure your vehicle is safely maneuvered and parked. If you have a concern while parking, communicate with staff.*
Physical Access to your vehicle and keys, including access to enter, move, remove, take buyers on a test-drive, open your vehicle, or for any other reason, is only available and permitted during our posted SELLER Service Hours (4pm-10pm Friday, 8am-6pm Saturday, and 8am-6pm Sunday). During our closed overnight hours (10pm Friday-8am Saturday and 6pm Saturday-8am Sunday), the outside security personnel monitoring the lot do NOT have access to your keys, do NOT have keys to open the locked driveway gate, and will NOT allow any access to the Auto Fair premises. Test-drives may only be conducted with you or your authorized representative present. Vehicle check-out with valid government-issued photo ID at the Auto Fair office during SELLER Service Hours above is required before you remove your vehicle from the lot. "No keys" Autos, Boats, towables, and Cycles, must still show iD at window before removing the vehicle, but please do not stop in the driveway to do so.*
Secure your vehicle and belongings. Lock doors and remove any valuables, loose articles, or removable objects from vehicle. This includes detachable radio faceplates, garage door openers, cell phones, glasses, hidden keys, all personal documents and vehicle registration, etc. Valuables, removable electronics, and boat motors must be secured by vehicle owner. All trailer hitches on towed vehicles must be secured by owner.*
Insurance is not provided by Chicagoland Auto Fair for your vehicle. Loss or damage events are possible in any parking lot. The burden of insurance is yours solely, and you hereby certify that the vehicle is insured to your satisfaction, by yourself, for loss or damage events. *
Security: Chicagoland Auto Fair has staff on the lot during business hours and a professional, monitored security agency is contracted to remain on the lot during all closed hours. We also use video and electronic surveillance, and Venue Police patrol the Venue grounds. While the lot is attended all weekend, no guarantees are made. You park at your own risk.*
"Vehicle Profile" window sign will be instantly printed at the check-in kiosk, and must be posted on all vehicles. Additional postings are not recommended except a Kelley Blue Book Private Party Value printout or a Carfax report if you choose to supply one on your own.*
Disclaimer and Release: Chicagoland Auto Fair assumes no responsibility implied or expressed for the security of your vehicle or keys. You leave your vehicle here at your own risk and you assume full and complete responsibility for any loss, damage, or theft. Do not leave your vehicle if you do not agree or have any questions. By leaving your vehicle, you release Chicagoland Auto Fair from all claims.*
This is a "For Sale By Owner" event. Dealer, wholesale, or broker vehicles are not permitted and will be removed from display immediately, without refund.*
Salvage Title vehicles are not permitted and will be removed from display immediately, without refund. Salvage Title vehicles are usually vehicles totaled out by an insurance company at some point.*
Registration Always Required: You must register on this website for each weekend you wish to display your vehicle, including any free weekends. If you show up without registering ahead and register on-the-spot with a paper form, we charge $10 more than would be due on this website. On free weekends a $10 fee will apply if you do not pre-register here and instead use on-the-spot paper form registration. Web registration is real-time and can be completed from your computer or smartphone anytime before check-in. Be sure you understand our current pricing plan.*
Forward your receipt, OR a screenshot (not a picture) of your barcode, OR at least the 6 digit barcode number on your receipt to the person who will check the vehicle in at the Auto Fair. Self-serve check-in requires one of these items. Barcode on receipt can be retrieved at any time by clicking View Receipt under the vehicle listing in your account after registering for the weekend.*
All Registrations Are Final and Non-Refundable: By completing this transaction, you are registering your vehicle for the one weekend of 03/28/2025 through 03/30/2025 ONLY. Redemption of free additional weeks as described on our pricing page is automated, and this system will not ask you for payment on free weeks.*
Most vehicles sell in 1-2 weekends. If it hasn't sold in 3 weeks, please re-visit our Tips For Sellers page for the wisdom we have from seeing thousands of vehicles sell. *
BE NICE! Please don't take the stress of life, weather, or whatever out on our hard-working staff. We work hard to bring you a top-notch and well organized event every weekend, but in recent times common decency has been a bit less common and attitudes a bit more taxing. Please follow the signs on arrival, cooperate with staff parking instructions, and please have patience if staff are busy with an arrival surge. And staff would love to know if you've enjoyed your experience with us!*
