OMB Statistical Policy Directive No. 15 (SPD 15)
Office of Management and Budget Statistical Policy Directive No. 15 establishes federal standards for collecting race and ethnicity data. In March 2024, updates were introduced to enhance accuracy and inclusivity. Key changes include: Adding Middle Eastern or North African (MENA) as a race category. Defining Hispanic or Latino as a standalone category. Allowing individuals to select multiple races.
