  • Subsidy for sportscotland Coach Education

    Funding Application Form: 1 April 2025 to 31 March 2026
  • What will you need to apply for subsidy:

    The learner who is attending the course can complete the subsidy application form or another on their behalf. 

    You will need to have the following details of the learner before completing the application, you may also be asked to provide proof of these by uploading a document to this form: 

    • Name
    • Date of Birth 
    • Sex 
    • Address
    • Disability information
    • Ethnicity information
    • Areas the coach in (i.e. club, active schools, local authority)
    • Groups they coach (i.e. people with disability, females, males)
    • Date they attended/ have booked onto a safeguarding course
    • The course details they are applying for subsidy to attend
    • If this is their first gymnastics coaching qualification
    • If they have had any barriers to attending the coaching course and how subsidy may have helped with this

     

     

  • Before applying for sportscotland subsidy, you (or the learner applying) must have:

     

    1. Booked onto a Scottish Gymnastics course after 1 April 2025.

    If you have applied for subsidy in 2024-25 for a course you cannot apply for 2025-26 subsidy for the same course. 

    You must be apply for subsidy before the start date (day 1) of your course.  

     

    2. Hold a current and the correct level of Scottish Gymnastics membership for your course or a coach within a partnered local authority.

     

    3. Be a member of a Scottish Gymnastics registered club or a coach within a partnered local authority.

     

    4. Have a current PVG accessed through Scottish Gymnastics OR have a PVG in progress accessed through Scottish Gymnastics before your course start date. If you are a partnered local authority you must have completed the 'PVG scheme member confirmation' credential form. 

     

    5. Hold a current and correct level of Scottish Gymnastics wellbeing & protection award  or have enrolled onto the next upcoming Scottish Gymnastics wellbeing & protection course.

     

    6. Meet the subsidy criteria for applying for subsidy for your course. Young person (under the age of 25).

     

    Please note all dates of your course must be attended or you will be required to return the subsidy allocated. 

     

    Failure to meet the criteria above, your application will automatically be rejected.
