APPLICATION GUIDELINES + CURATORIAL REQUIREMENTS
DEADLINES
Proposals will be accepted by artists during the application period listed below.

All Proposals are reviewed with the same consideration.
No applications will be accepted after the deadline.
No proposals nor applications will be accepted via email.
We recommend that you save your application information in a separate document in the event that you lose some information while completing your form...you know, because robots.
Also, as the deadline approaches and many applicants are using the system, the server can sometimes be overwhelmed, which can slow down the submission process, or unfortunately, at times, some applications receive an error and you may have to start over. Please take that into consideration when applying, save your information elsewhere, as you'll be safe if you get your application in before the final due date.
APPLICATION FEES
There is a non-refundable application fee of $40.00 per Regular Deadline and $50.00 for Last Deadline for all applicants.
No refunds for the application fee shall be granted for any reason, including force majure and/or related to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Our mission is to create an unique environment for showcasing independent curators and artists by providing free exhibition space to each selected artist and low cost exhibition space for non-profits and galleries, and therefore, require an application fee to cover our administrative fees for processing the applications.
SPRING/BREAK is a collaborative experience, with a cost-sharing model between Art Show and participants through the acquisitions of artworks. For more information on the structure of commissions, consignment terms and shared costs, please contact Apply@springbreakartshow.com
WHO MAY APPLY
1) ARTISTS: Artists may submit up to five artworks of their personal works for consideration to be exhibited in the show. Artworks shall not exceed 72 inches in dimension on any one side. Only submit artworks that are final and what will be shown at the exhibition, if accepted.
*SCULPTORS: We are accepting sculptures and art objects that will be displayed in a public area of the show. If selected to the Salon section, sculptures will be arranged as curated by the Art Show on a platform in the space. If selected for Solo section, Artist with sculptures will receive an exhibition space with a platform, table or can bring in their own structures for displaying the works.
Selected artworks should be ready to hang, with appropriate hardware or framing. Works on paper should be framed, unless not conceptually relevant.
If the jury decides to offer the applicant a solo exhibition, the jury may request more completed artworks from the artist for review and approval. One to three artists may be selected for a solo exhibition at the upcoming show.
SELECTED ARTIST APPLICATIONS
Submission of a proposal does not guarantee participation. We will review proposals and notify selected applicants by April 15th, if not before. If we have any questions about your proposal, we will contact the primary applicant listed on the proposal.
The exhibition will be a salon-style group exhibition. Placements are determined by the show's Directors and based on their overall curatorial vision.
All selected applicants will receive a consignment agreement to review and complete. All artworks included in the show must be included in and subject to the terms of the consignment agreement. Artworks that are not listed on the consignment agreement will not be permitted on the show premises. If you have any questions about the consignment terms, please contact us for details.
