SGA is broken down into three parts of which students can be a part of: The Executive Branch (voted upon in Spring), The Senate, and The House of Representatives.

SGA Agreement
Representation: I will faithfully represent the students within my assigned college or constituency. I will actively seek to understand the needs, concerns, and ideas of my constituents and advocate for them within the Student Government Association. I will conduct myself in a manner that reflects positively on Houston Christian University and the Student Government Association.

Constituent Engagement: I will meet with at least three (3) constituents from my respective college during each designated constituent engagement period each semester. I understand that these meetings may occur individually or in a group setting. I will accurately document each meeting using the approved SGA reporting process and submit all required documentation by the established deadlines. I will actively communicate student feedback, concerns, and recommendations to the Student Government Association.

Administrative Collaboration: I will meet with my college Dean or designated administrator at least twice during the academic year within the established meeting periods. I will come prepared to discuss constituent concerns, propose solutions, and collaborate on initiatives that improve the student experience. I will communicate outcomes and updates from these meetings to the Executive Council as requested.

Public Accountability: I will prepare and submit all required semester or annual reports that summarize my initiatives, advocacy efforts, meetings, accomplishments, and outcomes.
