How connected do you feel to your school community?
Not connected at all - I do not receive news or updates from my school or do not know where to find information on my school's events
Some connection - I receive occasional newsletters, general school updates, and some event information
Moderately connected - I attend some school events, am familiar with a few other families, or feel informed on school/district updates
Fairly connected - I have joined a PTA/PTO, regularly attend events, am familiar with other families, and feel included in school/district decision making
Very connected I am a volunteer/board member of PTA/PTO, an organizer of events, I feel a strong connection with other families within school/district, and/or I am involved with school/district decision making
How connected do you feel to other families of students with disabilities?
Not connected at all - I don't know any other families and I don't know how to get in touch with other parents/caregivers
Some connection - I've met some other families briefly at school events or have been put in touch with someone individually
Moderate connection - I have found connections at events specifically for families of students with disabilities, joined small support groups at my school, or networked with families informally
Very connected - I regularly attend events for families of students with disabilities, have joined official support groups within my school/district, or am involved with a Special Education PTA/PTO
What do you feel is currently the most significant issue you are facing in your child's education? You can answer broadly (ex. "transportation," "accommodations," "IEP") or specifically (ex. a recent experience with your school, a concerning conversation, or a story you feel is relevant).
