Rural Nebraska Internship Award

The College of Journalism and Mass Communications is offering internship awards to students completing internships in rural areas of Nebraska. Eligible internships must focus on newspaper, radio, community organizations, or non-profit work. Students selected for an award will be notified by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, May 4, 2026. The award funds will be applied directly to your UNL student account. If you have an outstanding balance, the funds will be used to reduce your UNL bill. If you do not have a balance, the funds will be refunded to you via direct deposit or check, based on your MyRed account settings.
