ETV Endowment Belize Unbound Tour

GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS: Please read this agreement carefully before sending any money.
Tour Cost: The price of the ETV Endowment Belize Unbound Tour is
$7,799 per person, ground only. This price is based on double-occupancy, and a minimum of 17 persons. Single supplement is $950. See note under Accommodations.
Tour Cost Includes:
- Expert guidance of Austin Jenkins, Alasdair Clayre and local guides
- $1,200 tax-deductible contribution to ETV Endowment
- Eight (8) nights accommodations at deluxe resorts in Belize
- Breakfast daily, 6 lunches and 2 dinners
- Wine included with all lunches and dinners
- Private guided excursions throughout Belize, including Maya Ruins, Maya cuisine, nocturnal jungle safari, island hopping, Maya chocolate farm and Belizean coffee, Jaguar preserve, bird watching, Belize Zoo and other locations with expert guides
- Private motor coach or boat transportation for all excursions mentioned in the itinerary
- Private Welcome Reception
- Private transfers to and from the airports for TGT/ETV suggested flights
- Private guides for all activities mentioned in the itinerary
- Entrance fees for all scheduled visits to attractions
- Services of TGT tour director Alasdair Clayre throughout the tour
- All gratuities for meals, bus drivers, local guides and tour director
- Baggage handling for two pieces per person for hotel transfers
- Departure packet of preparatory materials, including travel advice and reading list
- Illustrated tour booklet
- Relevant maps of Belize
- Two ETV Endowment luggage tags
Tour price does not include:
- Single supplement of $950
- Transportation to and from Belize
- Meals and activities not specifically offered as part of the tour
- Alcoholic beverages not part of tour included meals
- Tips for hotel room cleaning personnel
- Personal expenses and purchases
- Personal and travel insurance
Reservations and Method of Payment: The deposit for the tour is $1,200 per person and is first come, first served and non-refundable. Payment is accepted by check or money order made out to ETV Endowment of South Carolina or credit card (Visa, MasterCard, AMEX, or Discover).
Upon receipt of deposit, ETV Endowment will send a letter of confirmation and travel insurance information. Prior to departure, additional items of interest will be mailed to the participants. If you have any questions, please contact Amy Raffo at ETV Endowment (864) 591-0046. Please note that tour participation is limited to 25 participants or as hotel space allows.
Payments: The first installment of $2,700 per traveler is due by November 17, 2025, with the final balance of $3,899 per traveler due by January 14, 2026. For single travelers, the first installment is $3,175 with the final installment totaling $4,374.
Rates: Prices quoted are based on costs in effect at the time of printing and are subject to change prior to departure. Prices could increase due to below minimum participation. Participants will be notified of any such price increase at least 30 days prior to departure.
Cancellations: Travelers are entitled to a full refund if the tour is cancelled by ETV Endowment or THE GRAND TOUR (TGT). If a traveler should cancel prior to November 15, 2025, the deposit of $1,200 is non-refundable. For traveler cancellations after November 15, 2025, there is no refund, except in instances when a substitution occurs. Notice of withdrawal from the tour must be communicated to ETV Endowment by e-mail: araffo@etvendowment.org or fax (864) 573-7792. All cancellations will be confirmed by Amy Raffo at ETV Endowment.
No refund will be given for any passenger who, for any reason, does not arrive for either airline or vehicle departure. No refund will be made for features the passenger opts not to use. Once travel begins, any change made by a passenger is the responsibility of the passenger. Cancellation fees caused by accident or illness to a passenger do not constitute waiver of applicable fees. No person outside the group may participate in tour activities, including transportation and meals, unless he or she is admitted under the full tour cost.
Itinerary or Program Modifications: While every effort will be made to adhere to the tour itinerary as planned, the ETV Endowment and THE GRAND TOUR reserve the right to modify the itinerary or programs at their discretion as warranted by circumstances at the time of the tour, including the right to substitute hotels of similar quality. In the event of any changes, ETV ENDOWMENT and TGT will attempt to substitute programs of comparable value.
Accommodations: Hotels are chosen for comfort, location and character. Please be advised that not all rooms are alike and may differ in size. Specific room assignments are within the sole discretion of the hotel.
Transportation: Participants are responsible for booking air travel. Participants arriving or departing on other dates or from other destinations will be responsible for meeting up with the group in Belize and for any fees incurred by these arrangements. The tour cost includes airport-hotel coach transfers for ETV/TGT suggested flights, which will be provided at a later date. Neither ETV nor The Grand Tour is responsible for any expenses and/or damages incurred due to weather and/or flight delays. Any additional costs incurred outside of the set guidelines will be the sole financial responsibility of said traveler.
Travel insurance: : As cancellation fees are strictly enforced, we strongly recommend for your protection that you purchase trip cancellation insurance. Travel insurance is also highly recommended in order to protect participants who must cancel or interrupt their trip due to illness or injury. Trip cancellation insurance is available, and information will be sent after your reservation is received.
Responsibility: The Grand Tour Travel Company, LLC, and ETV Endowment of South Carolina (ETV) and their employees, shareholders, subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, directors or trustees, successors, do not own or operate any entity which provides goods or services for your program including, for example, lodging facilities, airline, vessel, or other transportation companies, guides or guide services, local ground operators, providers or organizers of optional excursions, food service or entertainment providers, etc. All such persons and entities are independent contractors. As a result, The Grand Tour and ETV are not liable for any negligent or willful act, failure to act, financial failure or other defaults of any such person, entity, supplier or any other third party.
In addition and without limitation, The Grand Tour and ETV are not responsible for any injury, financial or other loss, death, inconvenience, delay, or damage to person or property in connection with the provision of any goods or services whether resulting from, but not limited to, “acts of God” or force majeure, such as regarding the Covid-19 virus, acts or orders of government, denial or delay of entry into any country, acts of war or civil unrest, insurrection or revolt, bites from or attacks by animals, insects or pests, strikes or other labor activities, criminal or terrorist activities of any kind or the threat thereof, sickness, illness, epidemics or the threat thereof, quarantine, the lack of availability of or access to medical attention or the quality thereof, mechanical or other failure of airplanes, vessels or other means of transportation, or for any failure of any transportation mechanism to arrive or depart timely or safely. Further, participants release The Grand Tour and ETV from its own negligence and assume all risk thereof.
If due to weather, flight schedules or other uncontrollable factors, you are required to spend an additional night(s), you will be responsible for your own hotel, transfers and meal costs. Further, ETV and The Grand Tour shall not be responsible for losses or additional expenses of the participant due to sickness, weather, flight schedules or other uncontrollable factors, strife, civil unrest, acts of terrorism, quarantine, “acts of God,” loss of baggage, or other causes beyond their control.
Under no circumstances is The Grand Tour obligated to refund the cost of any purchased travel insurance. The Grand Tour is not required to cancel any program for any reason including without limitation, United States Department of State, Centers for Disease Control, World Health Organization or other Warnings or Advisories of any kind. The Grand Tour is not responsible for fees assessed by air carriers resulting from operational and/or itinerary changes, even if The Grand Tour makes the flight arrangements or cancels the program.
The Grand Tour reserves the right to substitute vessels, hotels or attractions of a similar category for those listed in this brochure.
Miscellaneous: The Grand Tour reserves the right to decline to accept or to retain any person as a member of the tour should the person’s health, actions, or general deportment impede the operation of the tour or the rights or welfare of the other participants. No refund will be made for any unused portion of the tour. All group excursions selected for this tour are rated Easy, but please note that there is a considerable amount of walking on this tour, on occasion on uneven terrain in jungle settings. On hiking tours, participants must be able to walk unaided for one to two hours. Tour staff will not have the resources to assist individuals who have mobility issues.
Forum: Any dispute regarding these terms and conditions or the trip itself must be brought only in courts in and for Peterborough, New Hampshire. For this specific purpose, the parties agree to personal jurisdiction and proper venue in such courts.
