25-26 Apprentice Program Application
First Act Theatre Arts offers Apprenticeships to students ages 16-20 in areas of technical and design theatre. These unique apprenticeships will give students the opportunity to work on one of First Act’s shows in an area “behind the scenes.” Students will work with the Artistic Team, professional designers, and parent committees to learn valuable skills in artistic crafts, technical theatre, theatre design, and stagecraft. Each apprenticeship will be designed with the individual in mind - whether an apprentice is a seasoned-pro and wants to gain some leadership experience in their chosen area, or is brand new and wants to learn on the job, this apprenticeship will offer experience and training in a hands-on environment. The First Act KC Apprentice Program will allow students a chance to learn, educate, lead, and explore! To apply, please fill out this application. Not all applicants will be placed in a show - The Director of Artistic Productions will work with Artistic Teams to assess need and availability for an apprentice in order to ensure it is a worthwhile experience for both the apprentice and the production.
