REQUIRED COMPETITION CATEGORIES
Community Service – “Glitter and Grace” - 20%
In the Community Service, or “Glitter and Grace,” phase of the competition, the focus is on the spirit of giving and meaningful service to the community. As Maya Angelou beautifully said, “When we give cheerfully and accept gratefully, everyone is blessed.”
Participants may fulfill this requirement in any of the following ways:
Submitting documentation of prior community service
Participating in the current 2026 Sparkles Community Service Project
Providing donations at the time of pageant registration
This phase celebrates compassion, generosity, and the positive impact each participant can make.
Interview-20%
During the interview phase of the competition, each delegate will participate in either a round-robin or press conference-style interview in front of an established panel of judges.
Each delegate will be interviewed for one, two, or three minutes, depending on her age division. This format allows judges to observe how each delegate responds to a variety of ever-changing questions, as well as how she carries herself and reacts under pressure.
Personal Introduction/Casual Wear- 15%
In the Casual Wear phase of the competition, each candidate will have the opportunity to wear an outfit of her choice that showcases her unique personal style. This phase includes a fun modeling segment set to music provided by the pageant.
During this time, each candidate will present her personal introduction to the judges. Introductions must be no longer than 30 seconds, fully memorized, and include the candidate’s name, age, and a fun fact about herself.
Be creative, have fun, and let your personality shine—this is your moment to Sparkle!
Formal Wear/Onstage Question-15%
In the evening gown phase of the competition, poise, beauty, and confidence are what our established panel of judges will be looking for in each delegate. Remember, it’s not the dress you wear but how you wear it. This is your moment to shine on stage with elegance, grace, and glamour. Music will be provided by the pageant.
Jr. Teen and Teen candidates will answer one On-Stage Question (OSQ), while candidates in the Senior Division (Miss) will answer two OSQs during the formal wear segment.
There are no right or wrong answers. Judges will observe how confidently each candidate speaks, presents herself, and responds to questions, demonstrating poise and confidence.
Talent -15%
During the Talent phase of the competition, candidates will showcase their unique skills across a variety of genres and mediums.
Judges will consider confidence, level of skill, degree of difficulty, costume and music selection, as well as audience engagement.
Everyone has a special gift—we can’t wait to see yours shine!
Fitness -15%
In the required Fitness phase of the competition, each candidate will showcase her confidence and physical fitness while performing a pre-choreographed routine provided by the pageant.
Contestants may choose their own workout attire that best reflects their personality. Acceptable options include leggings or bike shorts paired with a tank top, crop top, or t-shirt. Clean tennis shoes and no-show socks.
Please ensure that all attire fits properly, is age-appropriate, and provides adequate coverage. Preferred color combinations include black, white, and yellow (gold), styled in any way you wish.
This phase is all about energy, confidence, and letting your personality shine on stage!
