Summer Carnival Registration Form
  • CALNEVAL - Summer Carnival Procession Registration Form

This form is to be completed, signed and returned to Calne Town Council by Friday 29th May 2026
  • Entry Information and theme for 2026

  •

This year, Calneval will be hosted on June 27th 2026 and this time we are going big and bold with the theme of COLOUR! Each entry will choose one colour to represent, and that colour should be the main focus of the design. You might use your colour to inspire a character — for example, Blue could become the Smurfs — or simply celebrate the colour itself. Colours will be allocated on a first‑come, first‑served basis, and all entries will be arranged into a vibrant colour chart for the procession. Shades are also welcome, including black, white and grey.

We’re really excited to see creative entries this year. You’re welcome to take part using a free float, a walking entry, or another mode of transport such as push bikes, scooters, motorbikes and more.

  • Almost there! Just a couple of final points to help ensure your entry is safe, vibrant and ready for the day.

    Sound & Music on Floats
We encourage all entries to include an element of sound—this could be recorded music, live instruments, or any creative audio that helps bring your float to life.

Please make sure any speakers or amplifiers are securely fixed in place and that sound levels are suitable for the event.
Be mindful of other entries by keeping volumes balanced so they don’t interfere with announcements or nearby groups.
If you’re using a generator, please ensure fuel is stored safely and kept away from heat sources.

      • You must have permission from the vehicle’s legal owner and confirm insurance covers participation. Confirmation must be included with your entry form.
      • The vehicle (and trailer) must be roadworthy with valid tax, MOT, and insurance. Copies of these must be submitted with your entry form.

      • The driver must always have a clear view of the road and both sides of the float.
