Program Description:
For high school students interested in a career in medicine, Summer Med Exploration (SMEC) is a five-day summer health camp program that offers medical and health career guidance. The program's curriculum includes a combination of speakers, interactive exercises, a field trip, and practical hands-on experiences. Also, a variety of medical subjects, such as anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and clinical skills, will be covered for participants.
Acceptance of Terms:
By applying to SMEC, paying tuition for, and participating in SMEC, the participant agrees to the terms and conditions outlined in this document. If they do not agree to these terms and conditions, one may not participate in the program.
Refund policy:
Cancellations made 14 or more days prior to the start of the program will be entitled to a full refund minus the registration fee. Cancellations within 14 days of the start of the program will be entitled to a full refund, less a supplies fee and registration fee. Cancellations requested after the start of the camp will not be honored in a refund status.
Code of Conduct
It is expected of participants to act responsibly and with respect at all times. In addition to being immediately removed from the program and losing any refunds, disruptive behavior or behavior that infringes on the rights of others will not be allowed.
Transportation
Transportation to and from the program site is the responsibility of the participant and/or parent/guardian. Participants and/or parents/guardians are responsible for the timely pick-up and drop-off at the program.
Liability & Disclaimers
All program-related risks are assumed by participants, who are also accountable for their own behavior. You accept and agree to the following liability and disclaimer agreements by taking part in SMECprogram:
Assumption of Risk: The participant must recognize that there are risks associated with taking part in the program, such as the possibility of disease, injury, and psychological anguish. You willingly accept all of these risks and release Elevation Academy, its affiliates, staff, agents, and representatives from all liability for any damage, injury, or loss resulting from your involvement in the program.
Disclosure of Medical Conditions: The participant must consent to share any health or medical conditions that would limit your participation in the program or necessitate special care or accommodations. You agree to be entirely responsible for getting any necessary medical care or treatment during the program, and you are aware that Noorishment is not liable for providing such care.
Safety and Health: Participants must adhere to all safety regulations and emergency protocols, and they must also promise not to leave the campus during the scheduled session hours.
Release of Liability: The participant consent to absolve and hold Summer Med Exploration, its affiliates, staff, agents, and representatives blameless from any and all claims, lawsuits, damages, or obligations, including but not limited to injury, illness, or personal damages.
Program Cancellations and Modifications: The participant will acknowledge that Elevation Academy retains the right, for any reason, including unanticipated events, to change or end the program at any time. Elevation Academy will reimburse the participant's program fee in the event of a cancellation; however, it will not be held accountable for any additional expenditures or expenses the participant may incur as a result of the cancellation.
Use of Likeness: Without payment or prior notification, ElevatiAcademy has permission to use the participant's name, image, likeness, and/or voice in any program-related promotional materials or media.
Governing Law: The laws of the State of Illinois shall govern and be interpreted in the interpretation of these terms and conditions.
