Those who experience a great sense of belonging – “the subjective feeling of deep connection with social groups, physical places, and individual and collective experiences” (Allen et al., 2021) – have been shown to have better individual physical, mental, and behavioral health outcomes. Additionally, on a broader level, those communities with more connectedness and cohesion are associated with better overall population health outcomes. This training will help participants consider ways they can build belonging within their organization as well as with the broader community.
Hosted by De Pere Health Department and St. Norbert College with support from the De Pere Area Chamber and Rotary Club of De Pere, this training will be led by the University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute.
This event is FREE. Light refreshments will be provided courtesy of Rotary Club of De Pere.
