CLEANLINESS: To be respectful of future renters, please keep in mind there may be a cleaning fee assessed at the end of the rental if the rental vehicle is not returned in clean condition.

NO SMOKING AND NO VAPING: Smitty’s has a strict NO SMOKING and VAPiNG Policy: If evidence of smoking is present in the vehicle; customers will incur a Smoke Cleaning Fee and may be placed on our Do Not Loan List. If smoking evidence is found, the Vehicle will be treated and deodorized with a specially developed electronic oxidation device, to eliminate the smoke/e-Cigarette odor. De-smoking requires the vehicle to be taken out of service for up to 24 hours, therefore a Smoke Cleaning Fee of $400 will apply when evidence of smoking is present.

NO PET POLICY: Pets are not permitted in the loaner vehicle. That means if evidence is found a pet was in the vehicle there will be a cleaning fee assessed at the end of the loaner period. Pet hair, interior/exterior damage or soiling could result in a $125-250 cleaning charge depending on the severity and additional time needed to clean the vehicle. Pet Cleaning requires the vehicle to be taken out of service for up to 24 hours, therefore a Cleaning Fee will apply when evidence of a Pet is present.

UBER/LYFT/RIDESHARING: In no way is Smitty’s Loaner vehicle permitted to be used for any ridesharing platforms. Smitty’s loaner vehicle is permitted for personal usage only.

ADDITIONAL FEES: The credit card on file is to cover any additional charges that may be incurred ie. late return of vehicle, ez pass, parking violations, gas, deductible in the case of an accident but is not limited to these examples.

ALCOHOL/DRUGS (LEGAL AND ILLEGAL): The loaner vehicle will not be operated while under the influence of alcohol or narcotics.

DRIVER'S LICENSE/PROOF OF INSURANCE: Driver agrees to maintain a current driver’s license and active insurance policy with collision and comprehensive coverages. Proof of Insurance Coverage is required! NO EXCEPTIONS!

*If at any time Insurance coverage is cancelled or terminated for any reason, Loaner vehicle must be returned to Smitty’s Maintenance Repair & Collision, Inc. immediately. In the event the Loanee were to damage Loaner vehicle, Loanee would be personally responsible for said damages or vehicle replacement value. 

TOWING: Loaner vehicle is not be used for any towing purposes.

DAMAGES/ISSUES:

If a loaner vehicle is involved in an accident or sustains any damage—regardless of the cause—it must be reported to Smitty's immediately.

If, while operating the loaner vehicle, any issues arise that may affect its performance or cause it to run improperly, you must contact Smitty's immediately to report the problem. Smitty's will determine whether the vehicle needs to be returned for inspection.

TRAVEL LIMIT: Loanee agrees vehicle is not to be driven more than 50 miles from Smitty’s. In the event Loaner vehicle were to break down or is an accident outside the 50 miles or in another state it would be the Loanee’s financial responsibility to have vehicle towed and returned to Smitty’s.

Customers are expected to pick up their vehicles within 24 hours of being notified that service is complete, unless other arrangements have been made in advance.

Loaner vehicles must be returned within 24 hours of notification that the customer’s vehicle is ready. Failure to return the loaner within this timeframe may result in a daily usage charge of no less than $35 per day, plus applicable taxes.
