Amplify Your Voice // A Podcasting Camp for Youth with Something to Say

In this immersive five-day camp, youth ages 11-14 will investigate the art of podcasting, learning the skills needed to create their own audio stories from start to finish. Campers will master storytelling basics, sound design, and recording techniques while discovering how to share their unique perspectives with the world.
Each day, campers will engage in hands-on activities ranging from brainstorming topics and writing scripts to conducting interviews. They’ll also learn how to use professional recording equipment and audio editing software to produce high-quality sound.
Guided by teaching artist DJ Ambush, campers will craft compelling content, capture crisp audio, and experiment with sound effects and music to enhance their episodes. Collaboration is central to this camp experience, as participants work together to brainstorm ideas, provide feedback, and even co-host their shows.

By the end of the week, campers will have produced a polished podcast episode to share with friends and family during a celebratory listening party.

Whether your camper dreams of hosting their own show, sharing stories, or exploring creative sound design, this camp provides the tools, techniques, and confidence to bring their voice to life.
