With Rabbi Michael Satz and Micah Streiffer
Thursdays, May 8 and 15Noon Eastern / Noon PacificOne hour each session
A joint program of LAASOK and Temple B'nai Or, Morristown, NJ.
At its core, Judaism is built on some principles that might be considered democratic - for example, the inherent worth of all human beings and the separation of powers between branches of government.
In this 2-part series, we will explore some ways that Judaism has contributed democratic principles to our world. And we’ll talk about how Jews can respond when democratic institutions are threatened.
Rabbi Michael Satz leads Temple B'nai Or in Morristown, New Jersey. He brings his passion for teaching, justice, and spirituality to this multi-generational community, and believes that “Judaism is a dynamic, evolving and pluralistic tradition."
This class is open to all, and is offered on a suggested contribution basis. Please consider a contribution to LAASOK to ensure that we can continue to offer inclusive, progressive Jewish learning.
The actual cost to offer the class is roughly $18 per person.
