Research and Viewing Request

The John Michael Kohler Arts Center welcomes individuals to use the archives and collections onsite by appointment for academic or personal research. Many research request needs can be fulfilled remotely.

Access to collections is by prior appointment during John Michael Kohler Arts Center and Art Preserve weekday open hours. Only items requested in advance will be available on the day of your visit.

On receipt of your application, the collections team will review the details of your request, confirm the objects/records are available for viewing, determine fees if any, and schedule the date and time of your visit. Please allow 14 - 21 days to process this request. The John Michael Kohler Arts Center and Art Preserve reserve the right to decline any request at its discretion.
