    The Salt River Police Department Cadet program provides an opportunity for young men and women between the ages of 14 and 20 to work alongside, train with, and assist police personnel. The Cadets receive specialized law enforcement training, attend monthly meetings and volunteer to perform important community services. Along the way, they learn to work as a team, gain leadership skills, and they serve the community.

    Cadets participate in many aspects of police work but are not placed in dangerous situations.

    You can become a Salt River Police Cadet by meeting the following requirements: 

  • Requirements

    • Between the ages of 14 and 20.
    • Have no serious arrests or convictions.
    • Pass a background investigation.
    • Have outstanding ethical and moral standards.
    • Demonstrate a willingness to serve and participate in Cadet activities
