iLCP is a Fellowship of accomplished professional conservation photographers and filmmakers whose collective aim is to use ethical visuals to inspire positive and pre-emptive conservation gains, either environmental or cultural. If you are admitted as an Associate Fellow or Emerging Leaguer, we expect active engagement with your own conservation projects, iLCP conservation initiatives, as well as collaboration with iLCP to present these projects to conservation organizations, the public and policy-makers. In applicants we look for refined photographic or filmmaking talent, expertise, and a clear understanding of editorial/communications/educational considerations and priorities. Applicants must exhibit a high standard of professionalism and must be recognized (or be recognizable) by their peers as accomplished in terms of the quality and relevance of their photography or videography, their ability to deliver compelling visual stories on-demand, their commitment to ethical standards, and in their engagement with conservation campaigns. They must be actively engaged on a regular and ongoing basis with conservation organizations and media outlets in creating awareness of conservation priorities for policy-makers and the public at large.

Candidates for Emerging League and Associate Fellow will be notified of admission status in July 2025.

Do you meet the criteria to be a member of iLCP? The iLCP Emerging League Program (ELP) is designed to support early career photographers or filmmakers who display inherent natural talent and significant promise in conservation photography. ELPs are still establishing themselves as professional photographers and/or filmmakers and have demonstrated that they would benefit significantly from access to iLCP Fellows, Affiliates, and the broader iLCP network in order to advance their careers and conservation outcomes.  Associate Fellows are expected to be well-established as photographers or filmmakers in the industry. iLCP considers a professional conservation photographer or filmmaker to be one who devotes significant energies and efforts to positive conservation gains. For more info on membership tier expectations, visit this page:https://conservationphotographers.org/join-ilcp

We've merged the Emerging League Program (ELP) and Associate Fellow applications into a single application period. There will still be a distinction for ELP and Associate Fellows within the application, but all applicants will fill out the same form. You may select which level of membership you wish to apply for but ultimately it will be up the our Fellow Selection Committee to decide.

iLCP warmly welcomes and encourages applicants from underrepresented and underserved populations to apply. iLCP is committed to growing a diverse and globally representative fellowship of members. iLCP does not discriminate on the basis of race, religious creed, marital or parental status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, ancestry, age, or disability.
