幸田文のエッセイは、彼女が経験したことをもとに書かれているが、そのうちのいくつかは読み終わって気がつくと自分の経験のように感じられることが時々ある。おそらく彼女が経験に圧倒されて前後不覚になっている状態を偽りなく言葉にすることができたからだろう。
樹木を含めて自然の中にいる時も同じように自分とそれ以外の存在の境目が曖昧に感じることがあり、とても心地よい。そんな時間をちょっとだけ再現する試みをしてみたいと思います。

Aya Koda's essays are based on her own experiences. However, some of them sometimes make me feel like my own experiences when I realize after reading them. Perhaps it is because she was able to put into words, without pretense, the state of being overwhelmed by her experiences.
When I am in nature, including trees, I sometimes feel the same blurring of the boundary between myself and the rest of existence, which is very pleasant. I would like to attempt to recreate such a time for a moment.
Saki Yamada
Saki Yamada is many voices, expressed through moving images, words, performance, gardens, mediation, woven in ever growing, transforming practices. She invites you to gather, to share spaces, and to write personal stories of trees, to become the collective story of a forest.
