東山文化の中心、慈照寺で発生したいけばなの無雙真古流。いけばなの原点ともいえるその作風の作品のかずかずとの対話をとおして、哲学者・美学者が日本の美と禅の世界を描き出す。現代日本人が忘れかけている美と禅のこころが、読むもののこころを揺り動かす一書。

大橋 良介

1944年生まれ。哲学者、美学者。元大阪大学教授、京都工芸繊維大学名誉教授。京都大学文学部哲学科卒、ミュンヘン大学文学部哲学科博士課程修了。哲学博士。著書に、『「切れ」の構造――日本美と現代世界』　『西田哲学の世界――あるいは哲学の転回』『悲の現象論・序説――日本哲学の六テーゼより』『聞くこととしての歴史――歴史の感性とその構造』『日本的なもの、ヨーロッパ的なもの』（増補版）『感性の精神現象学――ヘーゲルと悲の現象論』『西田幾多郎――本当の日本はこれからと存じます』などがある。

珠寳花士

京都の慈照寺(銀閣寺)にて初代花方を務める。
2015年に独立し、草木に仕える花士として、大自然や神仏、時、ひとに花を献 ずることを国内外で続けている。同年、青蓮舎花朋の會を設立し、教場で花を 通してそれぞれの「花」の在処を求め、豊かな生活時間を作ることを提案して いる。
2017年4月より、京都造形芸術大学美術工芸学科客員教授として教鞭をとる。 音楽や現代アート、工芸、建築などの分野で国内外のクリエーターとも協働している。

The Muso Shinko school of ikebana originated at Jisho-ji Temple, the heart of Higashiyama culture. In dialogue with numerous works of art which can be considered to be the origin of ikebana, a philosopher and aesthetician portrays the world of Japanese beauty and Zen. Voices reminding and embodying the origin and depths of the spirit of these times, often forgotten yet vivid. They carry, like the wind of the “Hanashin”, the message that flowers have bloomed, announcing coming blooming.

 

Professor Ohashi is currently director of the German-Japanese Cultural Institute in Kyoto and the Nishida Kitaro Museum of Philosophy in Kahuho-shi. Before his retirement, he taught at the Ryūkoku-University in Kyoto, after having worked in several universities in Japan and Germany. Ohashi has published extensively on Japanese Philosophy, phenomenology, aesthetics, German idealism etc. He is considered to be one of the few living exponents of the Kyoto School.

Shuho Hananofu was the first “flower head” - “hanagata” and Culture Department Director of Jishoji (aka Silver Pavilion) in Kyoto.
A teacher and a collaborator for many contemporary artists, she embodies and shares, through a life dedication to flowers and to the study of the arts of the sacred, the arts of crafts and space - a practice of relation and care.
