We recognise that as a school we have a legal responsibility under The Relationship & Sex Education and Health Education (England) Regulations 2019, made under sections 34 & 35 of the Children & Social Work Act 2017, to provide comprehensive Relationship Education and Health Education for all pupils.
As part of the Education Act 2002/Academies Act 2010 all schools must provide a balanced and broad based curriculum which promotes the spiritual, moral, cultural, mental and physical development of pupils at the school and of society, whilst also preparing pupils for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of later life.
As part of implementing the RSE curriculum, schools must consult with the parents/carers, staff and governors/trustees, to ensure there is a general consensus on our approaches to policy and the curriculum content and parents/carers are aware of the right of withdrawal for some or all elements of the sex education curriculum. In order to provide your feedback on our RSE policy and RSE/PSHE curriculum, we would appreciate you complete this consultation form. Please note this survey is available to complete at any point, with no end date - responses will be reviewed periodically and taken into account when the policy is reviewed each year.
