2025-2026 Modesto Symphony Youth Orchestra Audition Application
Please complete this form if you are interested in auditioning for the Modesto Symphony Youth Orchestra (MSYO) for the 2025-2026 season. If a question does not apply to you, please type "N/A." If you have multiple students who wish to audition, please fill out a separate form for each student. Please note that there is a $20 audition fee required for each student.

Once we have received your completed Audition Application and non-refundable $20 Audition Fee, you will receive a confirmation email. This email will confirm that we have received your form and will include a DropBox link where you can upload your audition video. The confirmation email will be sent to both the parent/guardian's email address and the student's email address.

Ensemble Qualifications

CONCERT ORCHESTRA: GRADES 5-9 (INTERMEDIATE)

SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA: GRADES 9-12 (ADVANCED)

String Players: String players in 9th grade who are interested in auditioning for the Symphony Orchestra should select 'Symphony Orchestra' below. Please note that string players in grades 9 or 10 may be placed in either Concert or Symphony Orchestra depending on seat availability.

Winds and Percussion: Due to there being fewer parts for Wind Players and Percussionists in standard Orchestra Repertoire, Wind Players and Percussionists in grades 9-12 may be placed into either Concert Orchestra or Symphony Orchestra, depending on seat availability.
