1. Membership Eligibility
1.1. Membership is open to individuals and organisations committed to promoting
and upholding impact-driven, sustainable and conscious travel practices.
1.2. Applicants must provide accurate and complete information during the
application process.
2. Membership Types and Fees
2.1. TCTF offers different membership tiers with varying benefits and fees. Standard
membership of GBP 1200 per annum. Mid-tier membership of GBP 3000 per annum,
Corporate membership of GBP 5000 is available to tour operators, with additional
member seats and benefits included. Details of each membership tier and the
associated fees are also available on the TCTF website.
2.2. Membership fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated.
3. Member Responsibilities
3.1. Members must uphold the values and mission of TCTF in line with our ‘Conscious
Performance Indicators’ (CPIs)
3.2. Members participate in two streams of philanthropic giving. Members
participating in our Member Directed Giving scheme (hotels, lodges, DMCs,
operators) agree to donate 50% of their membership fees (equivalent of GBP 600
annually) to a project of their choosing in their destination, in line with our
philanthropic strategy and framework. For members participating in our Community
Impact Fund scheme (agents, tour operators, sales and marketing, PR and
journalists), membership fees contribute to our annual grantmaking. Members are
invited to nominate a project or projects in line with our strategy and framework, to
be considered to receive the Community Impact Fund.
4. Code of Conduct
4.1. Members are expected to participate in TCTF activities and contribute to the
community in a positive and respectful manner.
4.2. Discriminatory, harassing, or abusive behaviour will not be tolerated and may
result in immediate termination of membership.
4.3. Members must not use their membership for illegal activities or purposes that
could harm the reputation of TCTF.
4.5. Members agree to abide by our Whatsapp Community Guidelines.
5. Your Operations
5.1. All members, regardless of business type or sector, must ensure that their
business is legally registered and operating in accordance with the laws and
regulations of the country in which they are based. TCTF reserves the right to request
proof of business registration at any point during the membership term.
5.2. TCTF reserves the right to pause, review, or terminate a membership in cases
where a member is subject to legal proceedings or where a dispute arises between
members that may compromise the integrity, safety, or cohesion of the community.
5.3. Businesses that are in significant or unresolved debt, or that repeatedly fail to
meet financial obligations to suppliers, employees, or partners without reasonable
cause, may be considered in breach of TCTF’s values and Terms & Conditions.
5.4. Members must ensure that their business complies with all applicable health
and safety regulations and carries adequate insurance coverage, as required by the
laws of the country in which they operate.
5.5. Members are expected to uphold fair labour practices and comply with all
relevant labour laws and employment standards in the country in which they
operate. This includes, but is not limited to, ensuring safe working conditions, fair
wages, legal employment status, and respectful treatment of staff, contractors, and
service providers.
5.6. Members must operate in compliance with environmental protection laws and
regulations applicable in the country or region in which they are based. This includes
adherence to local, national, or international legislation aimed at protecting
ecosystems, reducing pollution, managing waste, and conserving natural resources.
5.7. TCTF reserves the right to review, pause, or revoke membership in such instances,
in order to protect the integrity and trust of the wider community. This clause is not
intended as a legal judgment but as a reflection of TCTF’s commitment to ethical
business conduct and fairness across the network.
6. Use of TCTF Resources
6.1. Members may access and use TCTF resources, including educational materials,
events, and forums, for personal and professional development.
6.2. Unauthorised use or distribution of TCTF resources (including and not limited to
access to the member portal, video recordings and member only documents) to
non-members is prohibited and may result in termination of membership.
7. Privacy and Data Protection
7.1. TCTF is committed to protecting the privacy of its members. Personal information
collected during the membership application process will be used in accordance
with our Privacy Policy.
7.2. Members consent to the use of their personal information for TCTF-related
communications and activities.
8. Membership Renewal and Termination
8.1. Membership is subject to annual renewal. Renewal notices will be sent prior to
the expiration of the current membership term.
8.2. Members may terminate their membership at the time of renewal by providing
written notice to TCTF.
8.3. TCTF reserves the right to terminate membership at its discretion, including but
not limited to violations of these terms and conditions and non-payment of
membership fees.
9. Changes to Terms and Conditions
9.1. TCTF reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time.
Members will be notified of any significant changes.
9.2. Continued membership following the posting of changes will constitute
acceptance of the revised terms and conditions.
10. Limitation of Liability
10.1. TCTF shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
arising out of or in connection with membership.
10.2. The total liability of TCTF, whether in contract, tort, or otherwise, shall not exceed
the amount of the membership fee paid by the member.
10.3. TCTF shall not be liable for any damages, losses, or injuries arising from or related
to interactions, transactions, or engagements with third-party businesses and
services facilitated or introduced through TCTF membership.
11. Governing Law
11.1. These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance
with the laws of England.
11.2. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these terms and co
