Board Nominee Information

Interested in serving on ADMEI's Board of Directors (BOD) or its Certification and Accreditation Board (CAB)?

Nominees must be employed by an ADMEI DMC and have earned their DMCP Certification. (Associate Members in good standing are also welcome as there is one seat on the Board of Directors dedicated to Associates.)

Each board meets 6-8 times throughout the year. Typically, there are two in-person meetings (travel expenses to board meetings are the responsibility of the board member):

At the ADMEI Annual Conference (the day before the conference starts) (BOD & CAB)
At IMEX America - Las Vegas (Monday) (BOD)
Time and Location TBD (CAB)

The remaining meetings are typically 2-hour video calls (BOD). Some CAB calls may be just 1 hour.

ADMEI has two opportunities for Board Service - the Board of Directors (BOD) and the Certification and Accreditation Board (CAB). Members may only serve on one board at a time. The CAB oversees the DMCP Certification and ADMC Accreditation programs, as well as the Best Practices in Destination Management Book, its curriculum development, and the Emergency Preparedness Certificate Program.
