Meditation Walk - Station 1

• Tie a cloth on the twine as a symbol of what you are grateful for.  Thank God in prayer for your blessing.

Scripture:  Rejoice Always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. (I Thessalonians 5:16-18)

Meditation Walk - Station 2 (next to the creek)

• Pick up a pebble, representing things you need to leave behind (someone else’s offense you find hard to forgive or a failure on your part, something of which you are ashamed).  Toss it into the creek as you pray to God.

Scripture:  As a deer pants for flowing streams, so my soul pants for you, O God.  My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. (Psalm 40:1-2)

Meditation Walk - Station 3

An old house cracks because the ground beneath it is shifting.  Sometimes we break because life is changing faster than our hearts can beat.  Trust that this brokenness will ultimately make you stronger.  You are not weak, for now you are beautifully flawed.  It is a part of the process.  As you breathe, a divine carpenter is sealing up your cracks with a love beyond all understanding.  You are being made holy and whole – and even stronger than yesterday.  Lay down your brokenness and walk away free . . .

• Write a prayer for your brokenness on a piece of tile.  Place it in the wooden frame as you pray to God.

Scripture: Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. (Matthew 5:3)

Meditation Walk - Station 4

• As you remember a loved one, write his/her name on a rock and place it in the triangle wooden frame as you pray. Thank God for his/her life.

Scripture:  Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. (Matthew 5:4)

Meditation Walk - Station 5 (at the rock bridge over the creek)

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special furry friends so they can run and play together.  They are well cared for and those who were hurt or sick become well.

• Rainbow Bridge: Tie a colored yarn on the twine across the Rainbow Bridge in remembrance of a pet you have loved.  Thank God for your pet’s life.

Scripture: In his hand is the life of every living thing and the breath of every human being. (Job 12:10)

Meditation Walk - Station 6 - (Picnic Table Area)

Think about your hopes and dreams that God will use you in his kingdom.  Take a seed and plant it in the soil.  Pray for your hopes and dreams and continue to pray daily as you imagine the seed begins to grow.

Scripture:  And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. (Romans 8:28)

Meditation Walk - Station 7

• Writing in Sand:  Is there someone or something you wish to remember to God?  Write or draw it in the sand. Say a prayer, then pass your hand through the sand, wiping away the words as a symbol of God’s remembrance of you. 

Scripture: Come to me, all you that are weary and carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. (Matthew 11:28)

Meditation Walk - Station 8

• Find 2 sticks and make a cross by wrapping a piece of twine in a criss-cross pattern, leaving about a 2-inch “tail” at each end. Secure the cross by knotting the ends of the twine. Take your cross with you as a reminder of the scripture.

Scripture:  If any want to become my followers, let them deny themselves, and take up their cross daily and follow me. (Luke 9:23)
