Due to systemic devaluation of art and disproportionate distribution of financial resources in the field, professional artists are often relegated to lower socioeconomic positions despite the critical social, cultural, political, aesthetic, and epistemic impacts of their labor. Performing and fine artists rely heavily on opportunities to attend fellow artists' productions and installations so as to maintain a contextual understanding of progress in the field, network with other artists, and remain inspired to keep creating.
In order to keep our productions accessible to working artists who might not otherwise have the financial means to attend at full price, eXit SPACE offers an Artist Discount for select performances. This discount is offered on an honors system and is to be used by individual artists only; it is not intended for use by non-artist families/friends or anyone else who makes all of their income outside of the arts industry. Ticket sales are one of the most critical ways that eXit SPACE is able to support the cost of productions and to pay the artists who make them happen, so please help us to keep this discount possible for artists by purchasing a full-price ticket if you work in another field.
