Tutoring Workshop – Terms & Conditions
Nīkau Montessori School
Please read the following Terms & Conditions carefully before enrolling in our tutoring workshops. By registering, you agree to the conditions outlined below:
1. Eligibility
- Workshops are open to children aged 5–12.
- Children attending during school hours must hold a current Certificate of Exemption from the Ministry of Education.
- After school sessions are available to all students who are enrolled in a New Zealand school or exempt under homeschooling.
2. Session Structure & Attendance
- Each workshop session runs for 1 hour.
- Children may attend 1, 2, or 3 sessions per week, depending on availability and their learning needs.
- Parents/caregivers are responsible for ensuring their child arrives on time and is collected promptly at the end of the session.
3. Fees & Payment
- Fees are charged based on the number of weekly sessions:
1 session/week: $30 per session
2 sessions/week: $25 per session
3 sessions/week: $20 per session
Sessions are non-refundable, but credits may be issued at the school’s discretion (see below). Unused sessions cannot be transferred to another school term.
4. Refunds & Credits
- No refunds are given for missed or unused sessions, including those missed due to change of mind.
- In the event of a change of mind or schedule conflict, we do not offer refunds, but a credit may be applied to future sessions if notice is given before the session date.
- If a session is cancelled by Nīkau Montessori School, a make-up session will be offered or a credit will be given.
5. Late Pick-Up Policy
- A late fee of $15 per 15 minutes (or part thereof) will apply if a child is collected after the scheduled session end time.
- Repeated late pick-ups may result in withdrawal from the programme.
6. Health & Safety
- Please do not send your child if they are unwell.
- Any medical conditions, allergies, or additional needs must be disclosed upon registration.
7. Conduct & Participation
- Children are expected to participate respectfully and follow the guidance of their tutor.
- If a child is consistently disruptive or uncooperative, parents will be contacted and the child may be withdrawn from the programme.
8. Location & Supervision
- Workshops are held at Nīkau Montessori School, Snells Beach.
- Children are supervised only during their scheduled session time. Before/after supervision is not provided unless arranged in advance.
