PRIDEFEST PLUS 2025
PrideFEST Plus provides organisations (community, government or corporate) with a platform to create an event or activation in collaboration with Pride WA.

Successful PrideFEST Plus applicants will have the opportunity to leverage Pride WA resources to assist in the development, delivery and promotion of their partner event/activations.

PrideFEST Plus events/activations are selected at the discretion of Pride WA through a formal, competitive application process. Positions are limited each year and chosen based on a selection criteria that evidences mutual benefit to Pride WA, the LGBQTIA+ community and the organisation. Diversity of programming will also be considered. All applications must demonstrate that the relevant organisation has the capacity to deliver their planned event in collaboration with Pride WA.

To ensure maximal attendance across all PrideFEST events and activations, Pride WA encourages applicants to plan their PrideFEST Plus events before the 21st November and/or after 30th November 2025.

Applications will open 14th April and close 15th June 2025.

All applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application by 15th July 2025. Each applicant will then be required to review and sign a PrideFEST Plus sponsorship agreement that details agreed elements of delivery, resourcing and promotion of Pride WA and PrideFEST.

- Benefit to the LGBTQIA+ community: The PrideFEST Plus event demonstrates clear benefit to the LGBTQIA+ community.
- Overall feasibility: The PrideFEST Plus event is feasible, considerable thought has already gone into planning and it seems deliverable.
- Innovation and creativity: Proposals should demonstrate innovative approaches to addressing the needs and interests of the LGBTQIA+ community.
- Pride WA collaboration: The collaborative relationship sought with Pride WA is deliverable by Pride WA and of mutual benefit to Pride WA.
- Resources contributed by organisation proposing PrideFEST Plus Event: The resources contributed are suitable in the circumstances of the type of organisation and the type of event.
- Accessibility: Projects should prioritise accessibility in all aspects of event planning and implementation.
OVERARCHING CONSIDERATIONS OF THE SELECTION COMMITTEE
- Alignment with LGBTQIA+ inclusivity across the full PrideFEST: While individual events can have specific audiences within the community in mind (and this is encouraged, particularly with respect to under-represented and marginalised parts of our community), overall selection of PrideFEST Plus events will take into account fostering an inclusive environment for all members of the LGBTQIA+ community across the full PrideFEST program.
- Diversity of Programming: In selecting PrideFEST Plus events, diversity of programming (types of events, types of organisations, different audiences, different dates, free and paid events) will be taken into account.
