1. Respect for Coaches and Staff:
Always treat our coaches and staff members with respect and courtesy. Avoid engaging in confrontational or aggressive behaviour, and refrain from using offensive language.
2. Positive Role Modeling:
Demonstrate good sportsmanship and positive attitudes towards all participants, including other parents, coaches, and players. Your behaviour sets an example for your child, so strive to be a positive role model.
3. Constructive Communication:
If you have concerns or feedback, communicate with coaches or staff members in a calm, respectful, and private manner. Avoid addressing concerns during sessions, as this can disrupt the flow of activities.
4. Supportive Environment:
Create a supportive and encouraging atmosphere for all children, regardless of their skill levels or performance. Applaud effort, improvement, and teamwork rather than focusing solely on winning or individual achievements.
5. Avoiding Disruption:
Stay within designated viewing areas during sessions and avoid interfering with coaching activities. Allow coaches to lead sessions without unnecessary distractions.
6. Age-Appropriate Expectations:
Understand that children develop at different rates and have varying skill levels. Avoid placing undue pressure on your child or comparing them to other participants.
7. Fair Play and Sportsmanship:
Encourage your child to play fairly, respect opponents, and adhere to the rules of the game. Emphasize the importance of good sportsmanship and positive interactions on and off the field.
8. Conflict Resolution:
If conflicts arise, address them calmly and privately with the involved parties or seek assistance from our staff if necessary. Do not engage in public confrontations that may negatively impact the environment for participants.
9. Abiding by Policies:
Familiarise yourself with our program's policies and procedures, including enrolment, attendance, and refund policies. Adhere to these guidelines to ensure a smooth experience for everyone.
10. Respect for Facilities:
Treat the facilities we use with care and respect. Dispose of trash properly and adhere to any facility rules and regulations.
11. Punctuality:
Arriving a little early before each session is not only encouraged but essential. This helps us ensure a smooth start and allows your child to settle in comfortably.
If you do happen to arrive late, we kindly request that you approach the class quietly and avoid disrupting the flow. Wait with your child on the sideline of the pitch until the coach is able to welcome your child into the class. We want to create a positive environment for everyone!
Violation Consequences:
Any violation of the Grasshopper Soccer Parent Code of Conduct may result in suspension of your child's enrolment and forfeiture of any associated fees.
By adhering to the Grasshopper Soccer Parent Code of Conduct, you contribute to a positive and nurturing environment where all children can learn, develop, and enjoy the game of soccer. Your cooperation and support are greatly appreciated.
Thank you for being a valued member of our Grasshopper Soccer community.
