Welcome, Future Volunteer!

Thank you for your interest in becoming a volunteer for Floyd Yoga Jam 2025—a unique gathering of music, movement, art, and community nestled in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of Floyd, Virginia.

Volunteers are vital to the success of this festival. Every year, we work and play together to add that extra sparkle that makes Floyd Yoga Jam truly magical! We’re so excited that you’re interested in joining our amazing crew of staff and special volunteers.

As a volunteer, you’ll become part of a passionate, mindful community helping to co-create an unforgettable experience. In exchange for 16 total hours of volunteering, you'll receive a 4-day General Admission ticket, which includes Primitive Camping and parking in our Lotus Lot. If you’d like to upgrade your camping experience (RV, Car Camping, etc.), you can purchase those add-ons separately [HERE].

We’ll do our very best to match you with your preferred shifts and positions, but please note that we cannot guarantee specific placements. The earlier you apply, the better your chances of landing your top choices!

A few important notes:

• Submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance. You will be notified of your application status within two weeks of submission.
• If accepted, there is a $45 nonrefundable fee, which helps cover administrative costs and supports the volunteer program. Details on how to pay this fee will be included in your acceptance email.
• Volunteer work schedules will be sent out no later than July 17th.

During Festival Assignments

Please choose from the following departments for DURING FESTIVAL assignments. Detailed descriptions of each are below. Please choose all that apply.

*The following departments may require additional skill sets and certifications. They also may work outside of the normal 4-hour a day time allotments.

Job Descriptions

Art Village
Be part of the creative heart of Yoga Jam! Volunteers will assist patrons with daily art projects, help maintain an inspiring space by organizing supplies and cleaning up paints and materials, and encourage artistic exploration for all ages.

Blissland Hospitality Tent
Serve as a hospitality ambassador for our Healing Arts area! Volunteers here will support yoga instructors, workshop facilitators, and healing arts providers by guiding participants, managing schedules, and creating a peaceful, inviting space.

Box Office
Join the front lines of the festival! Volunteers at the Box Office will greet attendees, scan tickets, provide wristbands, offer parking assistance, and answer general questions to ensure a smooth and warm welcome for all guests.

Fire Circle
Are you a sober, safety-minded individual comfortable with a chainsaw and love the warmth of a good fire circle? May involve cutting and hauling firewood from the forest, prepping and maintaining the fire area daily, and ensuring everything runs safely and smoothly.

Golf Cart Shuttles
Got a valid driver’s license and a helpful spirit? Shuttle volunteers transport attendees (and their camping gear) from the front gate to campsites and festival areas. Drivers also assist during departure. Friendly and safe driving is necessary!

Greening Team
Calling all eco-warriors! This team is all about keeping our festival green and gorgeous. Volunteers will manage recycling and composting stations, sort waste properly, and help keep the festival site clean and beautiful. A passion for the planet is required!

Info Depot
The central hub of festival knowledge! Volunteers at the Info Depot assist guests with questions, lost and found, directions, and resources. This tent also offers water, ice, a small camp store, and is home to our on-site medical team.

Jam Land Pub
Our official beverage zone! Volunteers must be 21+ to serve here. Duties include maintaining ABC space, checking IDs and wristbands, selling drink tickets, and pouring beer and wine. If you are friendly, responsible, and ready to help create a fun, safe environment, this one is for you!

Merch Tent
Love festival fashions and good vibes? Volunteers in the Merch Tent help guests choose from our amazing selection of Yoga Jam merchandise. You’ll also assist instructors and performers with their personal merch—retail and Square experience is a bonus!

Parking
Be the first smile festival-goers see! Parking volunteers direct vehicles in and out of the festival, keep traffic flowing smoothly, and help guests find their way. A great role for friendly folks who like being outdoors and staying organized.

Production
Join the action behind the scenes! Our Production Crew is essential for Main Stage Load-In and Load-Out. Volunteers will assist with moving large, and sometimes heavy, production equipment to and from the stage area.

Security
Help us keep the peace! Volunteers assist our professional security team by monitoring alcohol checkpoints, secured areas, and festival perimeters. You’ll help enforce rules with kindness and keep the vibe safe and joyful for all.

Site Operations
Ready for anything? This flexible, fast-paced team handles a variety of tasks, everything from setup and repairs to problem-solving on the fly. If you’re handy with tools, familiar with a trade or two, a quick thinker, and love pitching in wherever needed, we want you here!

Application & Eligibility
This application is valid for the 2025 Floyd Yoga Jam Festival only. Submission does not guarantee acceptance. All applications will be reviewed, and volunteer positions will be filled based on availability and event needs. Floyd Yoga Jam reserves the right to accept or decline any applicant at its sole discretion.

Agreement to Guidelines
If selected as a volunteer, you agree to read, understand, and abide by all rules, policies, and guidelines set forth by Floyd Yoga Jam before and during and after the event. These may include safety protocols, scheduling requirements, and conduct expectations, all designed to ensure a safe and joyful experience for everyone.

Assumption of Risk & Release of Liability
By submitting this application, you acknowledge that participating in Floyd Yoga Jam as a volunteer may involve inherent risks, including but not limited to, physical exertion, weather exposure, and interaction with large crowds.
You voluntarily assume full responsibility for any risks, injuries, or damages that may occur as a result of your participation.

You hereby release and hold harmless the property owners, SWVA Events, Karma Culture Inc., and all associated staff, contractors, volunteers, and affiliates from any and all liability, claims, demands, or causes of action arising out of or related to any loss, injury, theft, or damage that may occur during your involvement with the event.
