• Fight2Feed Chicago FOOD + Material RESCUE SUPPORT

Fill in the form below to volunteer with us at Fight2Feed!
  • Help us turn convention surplus into community impact.

Every year, Fight2Feed® rescues hundreds of pallets of food, materials, and essential items from conventions. We put those resources to work through our network of 102 partner organizations while helping events reduce waste.

This year, we’re on track to nearly double the amount we rescue and redistribute. We need 50–100 volunteers to help make it happen.

As a volunteer, you’ll work alongside a dedicated team to rescue, inventory, organize, and prepare surplus goods for distribution. You’ll get a behind-the-scenes look at a major industry event and help valuable resources reach communities that can use them.

It’s hands-on, high-energy work with a real impact. Register to volunteer with Fight2Feed® today!

  • FIGHT2FEED® VOLUNTEER RELEASE AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY
Please read this entire form before signing. By signing below or electronically accepting this form, I acknowledge that I have read, understand, and agree to its terms.

I wish to volunteer with Fight2Feed® (“Fight2Feed”). My volunteer activities may include rescuing and sorting food or other donated goods; preparing, cooking, packaging, and distributing meals; cleaning; moving, loading, and unloading supplies; operating carts or other equipment after receiving instructions; and interacting with community members and partner organizations. These activities may take place in kitchens, warehouses, convention facilities, loading areas, or other locations where Fight2Feed operates.

    1. Acknowledgment and assumption of risks. I understand that volunteering may involve risks, including slips and falls; cuts and burns; lifting injuries; exposure to hot or cold conditions, cleaning products, food allergens, or illness; and injuries involving vehicles, carts, equipment, or other people. I voluntarily accept the risks associated with the activities I choose to perform. I will follow Fight2Feed’s safety instructions, use required protective equipment, and tell a team lead about an unsafe condition or injury.

    2. Release of liability. To the fullest extent permitted by Illinois law, I release Fight2Feed and its directors, officers, employees, volunteers, agents, and representatives from claims arising from injury, illness, death, or property damage connected with my volunteer activities, including claims arising from their ordinary negligence. This release does not apply to conduct that cannot legally be released.

    3. Choice of activities. My service is voluntary. I may decline or stop an activity if I believe I cannot perform it safely. I will inform a team lead of any restriction that affects my ability to perform an assigned task safely. I understand that Fight2Feed may reassign or end my volunteer service when needed for safety or operations.

    4. Medical assistance and insurance. If I need emergency assistance, I authorize Fight2Feed to contact emergency services. I understand that Fight2Feed does not promise to provide medical, health, disability, or workers’ compensation coverage for me as a volunteer, except as required by law or agreed to in writing. I am responsible for my own medical expenses to the extent permitted by law.

    5. Photos and recordings. I authorize Fight2Feed to photograph or record me during volunteer activities and to use my image, voice, and likeness to share its work, including in print, online, and social media, without compensation. I may decline this permission by notifying Fight2Feed in writing before my shift.

    6. Governing law and severability. Illinois law governs this agreement. If a provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect to the extent permitted by law.
