Elementary Learning Coach Agreement
All elementary students are required to have a learning coach present with their child during the school day.

A learning coach is an adult that is available to the student everday during school hours, whether they are in live sessions or working independently. Learning Coach's are expected to montior their student's participation and progress regulary. Failure to attend will result in being marked absent and may result in placement on academic probation or discontinuation of enrollment with NVLA.
Who will be your child's Learning Coach while they are enrolled at NVLA?
I understand that a learning coach is required to be present with my child during the entire school day to support and assist them. That coach must be an adult who has a good understanding of technology and may not be an older sibling enrolled at NVLA.

Online Expectations Agreement Form

Please review each of the following expectations to ensure you understand the requirements when attending NVLA.
I understand that once my child enrolls at NVLA, this becomes their home school and they cannot withdraw to attend another CCSD School until the enrollment window opens again and the current semester has concluded.
The first day of school is Monday January 5th. I understand that if my child does not attend school the first week of school from January 5th to January 9th, my child may be marked as a "No Show" and withdrawn.
I have reviewed the bell schedule and understand that my child will be required to attend live google meets during the periods listed on the schedule. Students earn attendance by attending live Google Meets 5 days a week and staying for the entire class period.

The elementary schedule for next year will be adjusted to 8:05 AM to 2:15PM.

The MS HS Schedule will remain the same.
I have reviewed the Student Handbook, linked below, and understand that my student will be expected to follow all NVLA and CCSD rules and regulations.

I understand that students who are not successful academically at NVLA and placed on Academic Probation may not be permitted to return to NVLA the following year
FOR MS/HS Only: I understand that CCSD Policy states that if my child is absent (excused or unexcused) 9 or more times for a class period, they will not receive credit for that class. This means they will receive an F regardless of the assignments they’ve turned in.
I understand that it is my responsibility to provide an absence note within 3 days of my student being absent via the school website. I understand that students are limited to 10 excused absences per semester.
I understand that my child will be required to attend mandatory in-person testing throughout the school year. Parents are REQUIRED to bring students to our building for state required testing. State required testing is occasional and notification will be provided prior to testing dates to plan accordingly. STATE TESTING IS MANDATORY PER CCSD POLICY.
