  • Study Group Enrollment Form

  • Set up like a dog sport class, Study Group is a loosely structured course designed to help you work on what you and your dog are struggling with!

Each team will take two ~5 minute 'turns' per class, focusing on your current problem areas, under the guidance of your instructor, and with the help of your classmates.

Need help with polite greetings or walking past a neutral person?

Need to work on walking calmly near or focusing around other dogs?

Need to practice sitting calmly in a crate while other dogs work nearby?

All of these are challenging to set up on your own, but in Study Group, you can leverage your instructor, human classmates, and the other dogs in class to

Study Group is the perfect solution for those who struggled to do their homework when it was never collected, or who rarely engaged in 'optional reading.' If you and your pup need the accountability of a weekly class without the repetition of foundation manners classes, Study Group is for you!

Rather than signing up for six consecutive weeks, like a more traditional obedience class, you buy a bundle of 6 sessions and have 8 weeks to use them. This gives you a couple weeks off while also ensuring you don't go a month or more without attending. Once you are enrolled in Study Group, that slot is yours until you are ready to move on. You simply purchase another bundle every 6-8 weeks. (If you need to take an extended period off, just let me know!)

Please note, your dog should be able to wait calmly while tethered or crated in the training facility (with you nearby!) or in your car. However, if this is something she or he struggles with, it can be your first goal behavior!

  • I will reach out as soon as I have additional day/time options.

If/when additional options become available will depend on both building availability and demand.

If you know of a decent size indoor space that fits the following requirements, please reach out!

    • Decent indoor size; ~2500 sq ft or larger, in a roughly square-ish layout,
    • Relatively climate controlled (can maintain a comfortable working temp for dogs and humans without freezing or cooking),
    • Has power outlets and some onsite storage (visual barriers and other tools),
    • Is relatively clean (no potentially dangerous chemicals or hazardous items for dogs to ingest),
    • Is available to rent on a by-the-hour basis,
    • Whose owner's are open to allowing dogs inside and accept that some accidents may happen (but will be immedietly and thoroughly cleaned up).
