About FAB Pitch
The Festival of Animation Berlin is proud to host the fourth edition of its pitching session at FAB2025, with a spotlight on animated formats specifically aimed at teenage and adult audiences.
Selected filmmakers will have the opportunity to present their projects to industry professionals in a short pitch session, followed by informal networking over coffee and cake.
The pitch will take place on Friday, September 26, 2025, in the afternoon at silent green Kulturquartier.
Submission process
Animation artists are invited to submit their projects via this form by May 15, 2025.
Projects must be aimed at teenage and/or adult audiences, and contain at least 50% animation. All animation techniques are welcome. Please note that only projects currently in development are eligible — completed works cannot be considered.
Selection Process & Withdrawal
Applicants will be notified by email by June 13, 2025, if their project has been selected for the pitch.
Pitches should ideally be presented in English, though German is also accepted. Prior to the event, selected participants will receive personal coaching to help refine and strengthen their presentations.
If necessary, participants may withdraw from the event until June 20, 2025.
Participation Fee
Submission is free of charge. If your project is selected, a participation fee of €70 applies and must be paid before the pitch event. Please note that travel and accommodation costs are not covered by the Festival of Animation Berlin.
We offer limited free pitching slots and a travel allowance for Young Talents — defined as up-and-coming animators at the beginning of their careers who have not yet completed more than three commercial projects.
