    We have added a couple of spaces to the Market and changed a few numbers, please pay attention when requesting your vendor space. This will be first come, first serve and based on availability.

  • Cancellation Policy:

    • Daily Reservations: Cancellations require at least 2 days' notice prior to the reserved date. If notice is given, pre-payment can be used on another Market date. No-shows are non-refundable. 
    • Seasonal Passes: All seasonal fees are final and non-refundable.

  • Liability & Insurance

    • Responsibility: All liability lies solely with the individual vendor. The Milan Farmers’ Market and the City of Milan assume no responsibility for vendor products or actions.
    • Coverage: Vendors must maintain full compliance with State of Tennessee food safety regulations.

    Market Standards & Product Mix

    • Primary Focus: We are a farm-first market. While craft and bakery items are welcomed, agricultural products remain our priority. We reserve the right to curate our vendor list to maintain this balance.
    • Health & Safety: All products must be displayed in a clean, professional, and safe manner. Vendors must strictly adhere to all Board of Health and State Regulations regarding produce and processed foods.

    Vendor Operations

    • Equipment: Vendors are responsible for providing their own tents, tables, and chairs.
    • Setup: Please reserve your space in advance. Unreserved spots will be assigned by the Market Manager upon arrival.
    • Cleanliness: Vendors must maintain a tidy stall and ensure all trash is placed in appropriate containers before departing.
    • Conduct: We expect professional conduct and courtesy toward customers and fellow vendors at all times.
    • Pricing & Signage: All vendors must clearly display their business name and the prices of their items. This ensures a transparent and professional shopping experience.

    TN Food Freedom Act Compliance

    • Vendors selling "homemade" or "cottage" food products (baked goods, jams, jellies, etc.) that do not require temperature control for safety must comply with the Tennessee Food Freedom Act.
    • Labeling: Every product must be labeled with the producer's name, address, phone number, product name, ingredients (in descending order), and net weight.
    • Prohibited Items: Under this act, you cannot sell items that require refrigeration (like cheesecakes or cream pies) or home-canned low-acid foods (like green beans or meats) unless you have a separate TDA-licensed commercial kitchen permit.

    Market Policies

    • Smoke-Free Zone: Smoking is prohibited within the market area and must stay at least 20 feet away from any booth.
    • Animal Policy: Per Board of Health requirements, no pets are allowed in the sales area (Service Animals excepted).
    • Off-Hour Permits: Mobile or Transient vendors wishing to set up outside of standard market hours must obtain a City Permit ($50) and receive approval from the Market Manager.
  • I hereby assume all risk on injury, damage to persons and property, and to hold the City of Milan and its volunteers, officers, agents or employees harmless from any liability for any injuries or claims for damage to goods that may arise in connection with my participation in the Milan Farmers’ Market. I hereby agree to follow the rules and regulation set forth is this application for the Milan Famers’ Market.
