Personalization (All Plates)

All plates will be personalized with up to four letters/numbers

Punctuation and spaces are not permitted. If you're mixing letters and numbers, letters must come first. Examples:

A, AAAA, A9, AA99, AAA9, 9, 999, etc. are OK.
9A, 99A, 999A, A9A9, 9A99, A-A, etc. are not.

Be tasteful, the state will reject anything they find offensive.

Customization is first come, first serve. If neither of your choices is available, we’ll contact you. If your customization choices are left blank, we'll choose something for you.

Do you have an existing IL plate?

My Illinois MC plate is valid through September 2025. (Complete "Assigned Plate" section below).I'm from out of state, or do not have a valid Illinois MC plate. (Skip to "Unassigned Plate" section below).

Illinois residents with an Illinois-registered scooter or motorcycle can pick up their plate in July, and display it (covering their current registered plate) on their vehicle through Labor Day.

You must include a scan or photo of your valid 2025 Illinois MC registration card (below, left) showing that your plates expire after September 2025.

If your plates expire between now and September, you may renew online and include a screenshot or photo of your online renewal receipt (below, right).

The state will check these documents carefully, they must be legible and accurate, or your plates will be delayed or rejected.

Unassigned Plate

If you don't have an Illinois-registered motorscooter or motorcycle, you can still order a plate, but by law, the state will hold it until it expires on Labor Day. We'll mail them to the address listed above, a week or so after the rally.

Unassigned plates cost an additional $5
to cover shipping and handling.
