REQUIRED PAPERWORK
To be considered as a food vendor, you must either have the following documents ready to submit upon acceptance OR be able to provide them no later than 14 days prior to the event.
- LIABILIITY INSURANCE: Food vendors must supply the City with a copy of the insurance document naming the City as additional insured for specific events and dates. Agency/Company shall maintain Commercial General Liability no less than $1,000,000 combined single limit per occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate for personal injury and property damage. The Commercial General Liability insurance shall be endorsed to include coverage for both ongoing and completed operations. The insurance polic(ies) shall be primary with respect to the City.
- FIRE INSPECTIONS & PERMITS: Food trucks must have valid King County Association of Fire Marshals inspection, fire department operational permit from any agency in the state, cleaned hoods and current tag on suppression system.
- HEALTH PERMIT: Food vendors must have the appropriate food business permit from the King County Department of Public Health. Food trucks usually have an annual mobile food business permit and food tents need to apply for a temporary event food business permit.
- Please note that City of Newcastle is serviced by Bellevue Fire Department (BFD). Per BFD, food vendors are required to have a Class K Fire Extinguisher. Tents/canopies must be NFPA 701 Flame Certified.
