  • Welcome to the Get Ireland Active Survey! 

    Sport Ireland is looking to collect more information on your club to advertise to the public all ways they can engage in sport in Ireland. 

    To do so, we are going to ask you a series of questions that will allow us to populate the country's first Sport and Recreation Database, a one stop shop for all information on how and where to get active - www.GetIrelandActive.ie

    This website will be used to support analysis by different government departments and local authorities on where to invest in facilities in the future. 

    The website will also support the development of sport in Ireland. 

    We ask that you complete this short survey by 17th July 2025, it should take approximately 10 minutes.

    We are taking this opportunity to ask you to provide information on your membership.

    Sport Ireland wishes to understand the capacity of our clubs across Ireland by collecting membership numbers and associated waiting lists. 

    We aim to use this data to inform the planning and development of sport, it will support all the stakeholders involved in sport to make better decisions in investment. 

    Your club membership numbers will not be advertised to the public and will be for analysis by Sport Ireland only. 

    Data will be annonymised by "sport", not by club, to enable more informed discussions with Government Departments and Local Authorities where suitable. 

    Your support would be greatly appreciated to help us understand how to improve the development of clubs, facilities and infrastructure decisions where possible.
