    Holiday Pops Spotlight Chorus Application

    The Allentown Symphony Orchestra, and Conductor, Diane Wittry, invite you to submit a short recording (single piece) of a performance of your Chorus for consideration to be the "Spotlight Chorus" for the 2025 Holiday Pops Concerts on Saturday December 20, 2025.  Any Chorus that is based within a 50-mile radius of Allentown, PA can apply. Choirs must attend all rehearsals and performances to be considered. Note that choruses that were selected in the immediate proceeding year will need to wait one year before applying again.   • TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  • 1. Chorus must be within a 50 mil{otherPlease6}e radius of Allentown, PA

    2. Eligible School Choirs: High School-level Choirs, Chorales or Chamber Singer Groups. Chorus must be fewer than 45 members.

    3. Application Deadline: June 1, 2025

    4. The Chorus must be available for all rehearsals and concerts:

    • TBD - Week of Dec 8-12, or Dec 15-16 -  Visit by Diane Wittry with the Chorus
    • Thursday Dec. 18, 2025   Tech and Staging rehearsal (TBA between 5-10pm) at Miller Symphony Hall, 23 N. 6th Street, Allentown, PA 18101
    • Friday Dec 19, 2025 
      • Rehearsal with Orchestra 2:00 – 5:00pm at MSH  (4:00 – 5:00pm)
      • Dress Rehearsal with Orchestra  7:00pm - 10:00pm  at MSH
    • Saturday Dec  20, 2025  2:00pm  Concert #1  at MSH
    • Saturday Dec 20, 2025  7:30pm   Concert #2  at MSH
    • Sunday Dec 21, 2025  -Hold for Snow Date-

    5. Chorus members are responsible for their own transportation to, and parking at, Miller Symphony Hall, 23 North 6th Street, Allentown, PA

    • Who will repertoire be selected for the chorus? : Repertoire will be selected by the Music Director of the Allentown Symphony, Diane Wittry, in consultation with the Chorus Music Director/Conductor.
    • Who will provide the music? : Allentown Symphony Association will provide the music.
    • Is there compensation / Do choir members get free tickets to the Holiday Pops Show? : $200 honorarium for the chorus and 1 complimentary Ticket for each Chorus member and up to 4 complimentary tickets for chaperones/family members if needed. If additional tickets are needed, they can be purchased at our Box Office at a discounted price. 
  • Should be Empty:
