Do you have reliable transportation?
Why do you want to volunteer with Raven Ridge Wildlife Center?
What areas are you most looking to help in?
We require that all animal care volunteers complete one 4-hour shift per week. Please check the shifts you would prefer to work on a weekly basis.
Do you have any prior experience working with wildlife or in an animal rehabilitation setting?
We primarily work with Birds of Prey, Mammals, Waterfowl, and Adult Songbirds. Are there any species you would prefer not work with?
This is not a deal breaker, we just like to be aware.
Would you be willing to get your rabies vaccines to work with our education animals and potential RVS patients (Raccoons, Foxes, Groundhogs, Skunks, and Bats)? You would need to cover this cost and it is typically $200-300.
Do you have or are you able to get your PA Child Abuse Clearance and Criminal Background Check? (All volunteers are required to pass both of these clearances in order to volunteer)
Do you have any other interests or skills that you can bring to the table that might benefit RRWC beyond the typical volunteer duties?
Examples: Education, Carpentry, Social Media, Event Planning, Legal, Grant Writing etc.
Are there any medical concerns we need to be aware of in case of an emergency?
Examples: Allergies, diabetes, epilepsy
